A Headband Blog

I started making woven ribbon headbands for my daughter in early September 2008. She started kindergarten and became a big girl... a big girl who no longer wanted to wear hairbows. sniffsniff I was looking around for easy directions to make fabric headbands when I stumbled upon all these gorgeous woven ribbon headbands, including a site with directions. I had a good bit of ribbon from making hairbows so I made a couple headbands, fairly easily! I enjoyed how they turned out, so I set out to make more! I bought more ribbon and tweaked the design to create nicer, smoother ends.

In November I officially began selling my headbands when a friend hosted a vendor boutique in her home. I sold my headbands amongst other moms selling Pampered Chef, Arbonne, Initials Inc, Premier Jewelry, and more. I did quite well and decided to pursue selling more. In December, I took several orders for christmas presents from friends and family.

To extend beyond in-town friends and family, I set up a Facebook Page... Amy's Woven Ribbon Headbands. This served as a great way for long-distance friends to see my headbands and what I had available. It's great for Facebook friends and acquaintances, but it's hard to tell random people about it because if they're not on Facebook they can't see much of the page! So, I decided to put up a business blog. I can put this on business cards and flyers and anyone can come in and take a look!

If you've purchased from me in the past, leave a comment and become a Follower! If you're new to my headbands, I hope you like what you see!
